Ok, I have the barty of rogue and barbarians, and I need clarification.
Uncanny dodge: you keep you dex bonus when you are flat footed or against invisible opponents.
So, I know exactly how invisibility works:
An invisible attacker gets a +2 bonus hit the character in melee or with ranged attacks. The character loses a positive Dexterity bonus to Armor Class. Trying to strike an invisibile attaker give a 50% miss chance
And I know how blindness/darkness works:
In addition to the obvious effects, a blinded creature suffers a 50% miss chance in combat (all opponents have full concealment), loses any Dexterity bonus to AC, grants a +2 bonus to attackers' attack rolls (they are effectively invisible), moves at half speed, and suffers a -4 penalty on most Strength- and Dexterity-based skills.
BUT, are they actually the same?
Does a Rogue or Barbaians uncanny dodge work when blinded? It is one thing not to be able to see your attacker - but when you are blind, or in total darkness, you can't see the ground, or your weapon, etc, etc, etc.
