The reason I say this is that i play a Wizard in EQrpg and at level 1 and 2 he was just like the wizard are in EQO and DnD, WEAK. Ok I know you can cast frost bolt and shock of frost but compared to the damage a Warrior can do your spells are weak, and you have to roll to hit with frost bolt (as well as the Mobs get a save for half too). I will say that since level 3 though the warrior and wizard have been competing and the warrior has had the edge but with quicken mastery I can put out 2 spells a round (if mana holds out lol). I am at level 6 and the competion continues and I see that I will be gaining the edge at next spell level (4th).I have to agree that EQ characters are more powerful than normal 3E but it all evens out with prestige classes in 3E and other ways you cannot do in Eqrpg. I have seen some pretty powerful 3E characters and epic levels in 3E are very nice too. Cancel magic..all the Npc bad guys will have this spell. LOl At higher levels you have more pwerful versions of this too. Dude, the bard rocks. We have a bard in the group with my wizard and our warrior and the bard can twist songs almost too easily. The bard has saved our butt more than once with the healing song and the mezz song. I remember at 3rd level we fought a Necromancer and he DotEd me with poison bolt i think that was the spell) which did 3 damage but did a 1hp/per round posion damage for 20 rounds! I was dead in 8 rounds but the bard saved my ass with his heal song(thank goodness he had a lot of mana left lol)</blockquote>
