Total Defense is a full round action. You're still loosing the MEA. Either way you look at it, you're loosing a MEA to use the ability. It's better to simply use the Force Ability Pump skill (I forget the name) to pump up your Dex in order to increase your AC for 10 rounds. (and this will usually be greater than 1). Also better would be to take the Dodge skill or one of the lightsaber defense feats. But you'll come back saying deflect blasters stacks with those so you should use them all and be happy! It's only +1 until like 7th level, then it's a measley +2, then +3 in the teens. That's just not even worth it. It's a lame ability because because the character is better off using other means to pump their AC than using Deflect Blaster. Losing the MEA is huge in combat, it means no full round actions, movement is cut down, decide between move or attack, etc. But if you fail to see the problem, I'm not gonna be able to convince you. I simply posted the link for others who didn't like the new Deflect Blaster rules so they could see the feats I had come up with. I think my way is much better because every Jedi still gets the ability but the feats they can tack onto the ability let them perform maneuvers from the movies and actually let's them do something, rather than just relying on Defense. Anyhow, the intent of my post was not to convince, but to inform. Take it or leave it, I don't really care.
