Message: <blockquote data-quote="ohGr" data-source="post: 2605261" data-attributes="member: 15497">OK, so maybe "a lot" was a bad choice of words.  How about "a lot of the interesting stuff."  <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":D" title="Big grin    :D"  data-smilie="8"data-shortname=":D" /> Honestly, i wasn't that impressed by the prcs.  The bonded summoner loses too many caster levels to be useful, the dragon samurai was flat-out pedestrian and uninspired, the skullclan hunter, while definitely filling a niche, was pretty by-the-numbers and uninteresting, and the warhulk is just not a very good pc class (though, admittedly, it's one hell of a surprise for a DM to spring on his players).  I found only the havoc mage and tactical soldier to be interesting, and even then just barely.  Of course, this is all IMHO.The most interesting part of the spells section to me wasn't the actual spells themselves, but the new swift action mechanic and how they integrated it into the spell system.  I honestly just don't find myself using the MHB spells that often; there's usually a better option in another book.As for the monsters... ugh.  These were just dull.  Seriously, the vast majority are of the "HULK SMASH!!!" variety, straightforward brawlers with nary a supernatural or spell-like ability in sight and little-to-no tactical usage beyond beating the crap out of things.  Sorry, the MHB monster section just bored me to tears.With some (<img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink    ;)"  data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" />) MHB material being reprinted, all i find it good for now is the marshal, tactical soldier, (maybe) the havoc mage, and a handful of feats and spells.  Definitely not worth the price i payed for it.  *shrug*Again, this is all IMHO.</blockquote>
