It does have a good solo adventure (effectively) that walks them through character creation. On the other hand, the content in it really only goes to level 2 or 3 - if you are already familiar with D&D, and are looking for a buy that will let you guys play for a while, you may want to start elsewhere, and teach them how the game works on your own.  I'd say the best buy would be the Rules Compendium and one of the Hero books (Heroes of the Fallen Lands or Forgotten Kingdoms). Make pre-gens or pass around the book to help people make characters. If you've already got an adventure, then run with it!</blockquote>
