Want weird Lovecraft stuff? Check out the wasted west. Want arab-esque dragon empire? Check out the Mharoti empire. Chivalry and standard medieval war seasons around the Seven Cities. Egyptian and other Saharan tropes (or other parts of Africa?) are in the Southlands. Honestly, Midgard roughly aligns geopolitically with the area around the Mediterranean. So imagine what part of that area and it’s culture and history you’d like to play with, then go find the amped up fantasy version of it in Midgard. The intro to the Worldbook does provide a high-level overview that’s really useful, but trying to boil down a whole complex setting (not quite as complex or convoluted as the Forgotten Realms, but with similar broad scope) is not going to be easy.</blockquote>
