Is there a feat that allows the character to dream of future events?

I know there is a skill called lucid dreaming from the Manual of the Planes...

Then there is Prophetic Dreamer from the netbook of feats.

PROPHETIC DREAMER [General]
COPYRIGHT 2001, Sigfried Trent
Your dreams sometimes echo the future

Prerequisite: DM’s permission
Benefit: Once per session, your GM should inform you of a dream you have had that portents an event that may be in your future. Ideally this dream could warn you of a possible danger, or guide you to a good decision. The dream need not come true, but should be a possible or likely scenario in the characters future. Sometimes the dreams are literal and sometimes symbolic, (at the DM’s discretion).
Notes: This feat isn’t for everyone. It should benefit the character but only as much as the DM wants it to. This could be a trait or the GM could decide some mystical event allows the character to start having these dreams.

Boy, that seems clearly like a supernatural ability, and not suitable content for a feat. I'd hope something like that would only be obtainable as a spell or prestige-class ability.

This is exactly what I'm talking about, except for the 1/session deal. My character would never dream of something that would happen any sooner than 1-2 weeks, and he'd never have another dream until the events in his last dream came to pass, or were altered.

Basically I'd just like to know how a character who has had this ability since he was young would be covered within official game mechanics. Is there anything (feat/skill/template) that covers this? Is there some monster or spellcaster that could touch a small child and grant such an ability? My preference is to find something from WOTC, with a 3rd party publisher second but acceptable. My understanding is that the Netbook of Feats is a collection of fan-submitted feats. If that's the case I'd just make it up myself if its nowhere else in print.

EDIT: BTW, Jeremy, thanks for going to the trouble of actually searching through the NoF. Definitely appreciated.

In case anyone is curious, this is for a character converted from 1E (yeah, the barbarian archer), who had the Astrology proficiency.

Here's the skill copied directly from the Dragonlance Adventures hardcover:

Astrology: This proficiency enables a character to read the stars for information concerning his future. The Proficiency Check is made by the DM. If successful, the character sees a general condition that he is likely to encounter within the next 30 days. This may be a great battle, an enemy who will become a friend, an important encounter, etc. If unsuccessful, then the attempt gives similar information but is inaccurate.

The way we played this out for my character is he'd study the stars and then if he made a good check then when he went to sleep that night he'd have a vision.

Since I've played him in 3E has yet to manifest this ability but I'd like to bring it back. Any thoughts on how to convert this?

Dreamspeaking [General]
Sometimes dreams are important missives sent from above, or from within. You can interpret the dreams you have, or that others have.
Prerequisite: Wis 15+
Benefit: When someone tells you about a dream, or when you consider your own, you can tell automatically whether it was a dream of importance, also known as a "sending" dream. If it was a sending dream, you can attempt a Wisdom check (DC 15) to interpret its meaning. If your Wisdom check succeeds, the GM should give you some clue as to the meaning of the dream. (For example, a charcter might dream of a threatening rider dressed in black, surrounded by ravens. On a successful Wisdom check, the player learns that the dream foretells an encounter with a foe named "raven". Later the party does indeed go up against a villian named Kevris Killraven.) Retries are not allowed.

BTW, while I just quoted you the entire feat, I would strongly encourage you to download (or buy the hardcopy of) the Book of Eldritch Might, and it's sequel, the Book of Eldritch Might II (Songs and Souls of Power). Both are superb books, are cheap, and can be found at http://www.montecook.com/mpress.html .

Not really a feat, but I normally like to give prophets a few levels of Psion (Seer). They don't really have to be aware of their abilities, although without that knowledge they obviously can't make the most of them. Makes for fun roleplaying.
