Is Wrestle D20 dead?

I got the first three modules from rpg.net's online store. It lists two more as coming but they obviously did not come out on time. Is this project belly up?

I've looked at the promo and while limited, I could see several classic wrestling moves with the few listed and with a few extras added like a superplex (suplex off the top rope) or a splash mountain (crucifix powerbomb) so I have a pretty good idea of what's in the first and third book.

The second book has me a bit curious. I'm sure standard wrestling stuff is included like folding chairs and championship belts but are there stats for the Spanish announcer's table? :D

Tables

Tables add 1d6 damage to the damage of a wrestling move.

The actual "book" has many more wrestling moves than those in the preview.

I have now had a chance to look the book-what there is of it-over in greater depth.

This is actually quite good. while some things in here are specific to pro wrestling, there is quite a bit in here that would enhance the hand-to-hand combat in any game of d20 Modern. At $7.10 from RPG.et's online store (that's for all 3 parts and the little Wrestling Rings add-on) it's not a bad deal. The only thing missing is the setting info and the "how to run a campaign" stuff and that's probably the most expendable part of the book. I'd say give this one a shot.

And if you LIKE pro wrestling, (maybe the good ol' days, not the junk being done today), that's a bonus :)

Haven't a clue myself.

I've seen the current items from the Wrestle RPG (bound printouts a friend of mine brought over), but have not purchased them yet as I was waiting for the full release.

Admittedly this is getting a bit detail oriented.

Did you ever give any thought to somehow adding in a stat as a measure of a wrestler's heat (popularity with the crowd)? If I wanted to get even more technical, what about clout? Some wrestlers will job to another to gain status like when the Big Show lost to Zach Gowen so Zach would become a 'hometown hero'.

I'm sure the fourth chapter will have the official version but no telling when it'll be out.

No more fake than roleplaying is in the first place :)

The serious answer: the game treats wrestling as real.

Also, wrestling is not fake. It's fixed. The injuries that happen to the wrestlers can be way TOO real...ask Darren Drozdov, paralysed for life after an in-ring injury. Wrestlers are basically stunt men and women.
