In Friday's game an NPC from a group who are asking for our help and discretion casually outed me as a sorcerer to the rest of the party thinking everybody already knew and were cool with it. It is a secret I have been carefully maintaining in character from the other PCs and most NPCs for the entire game with the exception of one NPC sorcerer who I have been learning some magic stuff from. This socially oblivious NPC is a friend of that sorcerer and heard about me from her. It is a homebrew system and setting and sorcerers are not generally trusted, as their magic can cause them to go insane. Which the NPC also pointed out helpfully to reassure everybody once she discovered they had not known.
