The meeting adjourned, Shen gives Alejandro a big thumbs-up at the suggestion of "pub." "Be there in a shake Al, I've gotta get some memorabilia first." She tips her hat to Kyle, gives Daedarai a bow and a quick "pardon, Boss," and hurries off the boat, pockets newly jangly. In truth, more than being excited, she's begun to realize that slamming wine and mystery liquor on top of the subtle but merciless motions of the ship was...well, it was time to make tracks before her insides turned upside-down. Honestly, she can't care less about buying some souvenir, but it was the best excuse she could think of. Oh, well. Still, she does have a pouch full of useless metal things anyway, which she may as well trade for stuff. Markets are like a termite colony. Tight corners and pathways pointing off every which way, full of people walking, running, browsing, and shoving each other around, in a throng of life where everyone's blind to the world beyond their fingertips. It all smells like sweat, with pockets of stale bread, rotting fruit, or the thick, sweet smell of alchemy, depending on whose garbage bin is nearby. Like much of the city, it's fascinatingly vile, but a unique mix of friendly and predatory that the nomad elf's not used to. Shen soon finds herself at a smaller shop, what must be the guild place Kyle mentioned; it's filled with all sorts of stuff, but no branding anywhere, and she could swear the shopkeep gives her the tiniest nod as she approaches. A lot of the goods seem interesting, but gaudy and hard to imagine uses for. Her eye is caught by an array of weapons gleaming with silver; mostly dead-weight-y ones, but there are a handful of nice daggers. All modified with real silver, according to the shopkeep, "to kill ghosts." Dumbest sales pitch ever, but still, they look nice. She orders one, and glad to travel a little lighter and quieter for the loss of all those coins, darts out to find her team and the pub. [sblock="Shopping spree!"]One silver dagger, please. And a small order of fries. Thanks! Also, what Matthan said goes for me as well. Hopefully Shen's personality and motivations are clear enough by now that anyone can feel free to "fill in the gaps" if they need her to act/react during their post, so go ahead.[/sblock]
