The half-elf apologised to Alejandro, stating he will stick to the more formal handshake from this point on. He absent-mindedly scratches behind his head as he thinks on the answer to Daedarais question; "Well, yeah, they can, but like I said, people who catch this thing tend to run off at the climax of the disease. It's mainly the drunks and the derelicts who don't look after themselves who end up leaving it for too long without getting it treated. Sometimes, mind you, you'll get an unlucky sod who will simply not see the blotch because it might appear on their back or something. First person witnessed with this illness, it was some human woman errrr... Cara? Nareen? Dareen? Something like that I dunno. Disappeared about 2 weeks ago, burst out into the city centre one night screeching and screaming, well people came out to see what the fuss was about. There she was bobbing her head up and down like a crazy; one guy tries approaching her to calm her down, puts his hand on her shoulder and she bites him! 'What is your problem?!?' he says, and she snarls something like 'I couldn't' or something weird like that. As she says that, a couple of drunkards sneak up behind her. They probably wanted to look like they were helping so they could have the opportunity to pickpocket her. So they sneak up behind her and as one grabs her from behind she reaches behind her as best she can and scratches him a little on he face and then leans forward and bites the ear of the other bloke who tried to lift her up by the legs. This was just enough of a distraction to give her the time for her to break free and run away screaming and foaming at the mouth. We didn't think anything of it until it had spread to others later on. One of the blokes bitten used a local brothel more than a couple of times and.... well, you can imagine how things spread rapidly from there" The half-elf finishes scratching and looks around, "You know, I don't mean to be rude, but I'd say we should get moving now. Everyone's 'Red Death' free here and you can always find out more later. I don't really know why they call it 'Red DEATH' though. The only people who have died from it were the crazies who have attacked guardsmen and ended up cut to ribbons and thrown into the muck below"
