The Half-Orc drinks deep of the chilled illusionary beer. "Ahhhhh, much better. That'd keep me going another year here though don't go giving them any ideas". He smiles and discusses some of Daedarai's concerns. Regarding recruitment from the prison, he simply tells Daedarai that the guild doesn't just aim to recruit people for their skill, but for their life circumstances, because when the guild rides in like a white knight, this breeds loyalty. "They say there's no honour amongst thieves, but the fact remains that when a business takes up some measure of honour in its practices, this breeds a certain... Quality amongst its employees. Take yourself Daedarai, when you go about spouting pro-guild propaganda to your new colleagues, I wager, even if you think it's just to enhance group cohesion, there's a part of you that WANTS to believe there's something more to the words you speak. THAT is the spirit our guild." He places a hand on Daedarais shoulder, raising his other hand towards the muttering half elf. "This man here Tro'leera Gwinneth is sick. He was once a highly paid specialist for the inner ring before a man who used his talents for assassination, needed to get rid of the evidence. The man was an alchemist and a doctor for pity's sake! The only part he had to play in the deaths was that he sold a couple of perfectly legitimate medicines to this man. And THIS is what he gets for serving his community!" The half-orc looks upon the muttering half-elf with pity. "Taking an innocent man, giving him new purpose and a new identity, you tell me why we rescue people from the prisons Daedarai. Why?" Turning away from the half-elf he looks up at the stars. "Why do YOU carry so much respect for your fallen brothers? Those you do not know, who may be hundreds or thousands of years old?" The half-Orc smiles and looks at Daedarai directly, the reflection of a star captured in his eye. "And they say there is no honour amongst thieves... I say, let them remain ignorant." With a smile, he goes back to watching the gate. Daedarai smiled back at the half-Orc, perhaps not entirely knowing what to say, before remembering the armour he had been eager to look at. After an hours study, Daedarai was even more convinced the studded leather was magical and that it was originally from the thieves guild.it had a constant effect prestidigitation effect on it, the wearer is always cool and at a command word, the armor could be either constantly clean or constantly soiled. He is feeling much better now. There is no doubt in his mind that it was a healing potion. [sblock=OOC]Either that or a Dr. Pepper[/sblock]
