First of all, thanks everyone for your contributions. They're much appreciated. The reason I wanted Nadine to be in the bomv disposal squad is that she has ranks in Demolitions (and a feat to provide a bonus too). It's her best skill and I wanted some in-game justification. Since it's only a class skill because of her Military profession, the bomb disposal squad seemed like a reasonable choice. :) So I'm going to try and put everything together into a timeline, let me know if any/all of this makes sense. June 1992: Nadine graduates high school and immediately enlists in the US Army. 1992 - 1996: Intially, basic training followed by EOD training. After doing her training, Nadine is initially stationed in Germany. She is stationed on several different bases across the world during her four-year tour of duty. 1996 - 2000: Nadine enrols in college (University of Wisconsin Milwaukee) where she majors in physics. After graduating, she is promoted to an officer rank. 2000 - 2002: Stationed in Turkey. March 2002: While still stationed in Turkey, Nadine has a bizarre and traumatic supernatural experience (it's a horror game). Six weeks later, she threatens a superior officer and is given a Bad Conduct Discharge. OK so where did I make mistakes? :) I can check the military ranks thread which is conveniently sitting nearby for her likely rank - though I'd be interested to know what the rate of promotion is in the Army. Specific questions: Would EOD training come right after basic, or not until you'd served for several years? Would you ordinarily be promoted in the course of two years? How often? Is the US Army base in Turkey in Ankura, or somewhere else? Is there a web site that lists cities (worldwide) that have US Army bases? Thanks again guys!
