I'm new to the forums, although I've been playing DnD and other games for quite a while, and I've decided to take the plunge and do a campaign of my own as GM. The planning comes along nicely, but I have a question for everyone.
I'm looking for a resource with estimates on travel time through various terrains. How much distance can a party cover in a day by road? Over plains? Through forrest? horseback or on foot, trade caravan or messenger scout...
This is always something my previous gms were sketchy on, and usually 'cheated' with teleports and other methods to get us TO the adventure in a hurry.
Any ideas?
