Item Creation Feats and Semi-Spellcasters

I'm currently playing a craft-oriented Bard. Lots of skill points, all the "caster" levels. Not big on sticking "stuff" in items but it's sort of an unexpectedly interesting combo.

Craft Wonderious Items for a Ranger is great, they can make a lot of utility items. Nothing powerful, but a lot of good useful stuff.

Thats what I thought. I know it's not their forte, but I just wanted to know if there was anything taying they out and out could not do it.

And a paladin's and ranger's caster level is 1/2 their class level rounded down (starting at 4th level, none before). This puts a huge issue on creating items and very long delay in potentially acquiring the feats.
