item pricing question

how would a helm of prot. vs. evil be priced in the new rules. in the old rules we came up with 8k to 10.5k depending on how it was priced. granted prot. vs. evil is a great spell and for what it does should probably be of higher level, but most of the time its gonna just be a +2 helm.

Let's see... by the "permanent spell" thing you'd get 2,000 gp (CL*SL*2,000). That's clearly too low.

I'd be inclined to treat the "no-touch" effect and blocking mind-control bits of the spell as the spell effect - thus, those are worth 2,000 gp.
Then the AC bonus would be 8,000 for a +2 deflection bonus. Reduce by 10% or so for only working against evil, and we get 7,200.
+2 resistance bonus to saves, 4,000. Again, -10% for only working against evil, and we get 3,600.

Double the cost for the "protection" bit and for the save bonus, because you're putting multiple effects into a slot item. Thus, the total comes to:
2,000*2 + 7,200 + 3,600*2 = 18,400 gp.

If you consider "only against evil" to be worth more than -10%, just reduce the price some more.
