Yea, I wanted them to include my old 2nd ed Squirrel Spell Helm (I was even willing to update it to 3.5). Alas, a court order later I'm no longer able to call them several hundred times a day. So here it is (not updated): History: Shortly after the Time of Troubles a bully of a mageling terrorized various small hamlets all along the Sword Coast. Brogin the Bold he called himself, though he was of little talent (CE Hm M(Trans)-5; Int 15), and of little heart. He took great joy in tormenting those weaker than himself, and took great pains to avoid anyone of magical power. He was able to kill his previous teacher, as spells grew chaotic during the Avatars' Fall. He also assumed control of most of his master items of magic. His preferred tactic was to go to a small village, and extort the local farmers for all they had. If any refused he used a Wand of Polymorphing to turn them into a squirrel and then blast them with his Master's Wand of Magic Missiles. He was unchallenged for nearly 6 months before his doom came. Sholicit, the "Almost Competent", as he liked to be called, (CN Hm M(Wild)-21), was staying at a local inn, the Drunken Goat, when Brogin came to town demanding all the village's gold, and the Mayor's House. Hearing and witnessing the commotion, Sholicit assumed the form of a bulky cow hand and took a place at the lead of the mob congregating around the Brogin. As Brogin began to fire his Wand at villagers, one of his bolts leaped directly at Sholicit, but bounced off his protective spells and rebounded at Brogin. Eyes bulging from his head, Brogin was transformed into a squirrel, and summarily zapped to death from a lightning spell from Sholicit. He believed that the once-mage could be made into something, thus was the Squirrel Spellhelm made. Appearance: The Squirrel Spellhelm appears as a flattened squirrel skin cap (similar in appearance to a very small bear skin rug). However, the tail sticks straight up, and is bushed out like a bottle brush. The Head is complete, and the expression on the squirrel's face is one of utter terror (as much as a squirrel can have a terrified expression). Around each of the squirrels legs, a small strap of leather is tied just above the paw, that allows the squirrel to be securely fastened to the top of one's head. Powers: When worn by anyone, the wearer gain the following special benefits; +1 to saves vs. Alteration Spells. If worn by any type of Mage: +1 to Alteration Spell Saves -1 to opponents saves vs. alteration spells +15% to learn spells rolls for spells from the Alteration School. Finally, if worn by a generalist mage, in addition to the following powers gains the following ability: May memorize one additional 1st, 2nd, & 3rd level Spell from the School of Alteration.
