Items that give bonus to Leadership score?

What items are there that give a specific bonus to the Leadership score? I'm trying to figure out an approximate cost scale (ie bonus squared times X) so I can put an appropriate bonus on an item for a PC in the game I'm DMing.

Thanks for the help!

The only item I can think of that gives a bonus to leadership would be a cloak of charisma. Just as a note, this would be an extraordinarily difficult item to price, since while it is highly specialized it has a huge impact when it is useful.

Someone pointed out the admiral's bicorne from Stormwrack to me - it gives (amongst other things) a +5 bonus to your leadership score.

It looks pretty difficult to extract the value of the leadership bonus from all the other stuff...

Leadership is arguably the best feat in the game.

I'd probably allow a wish to grant a +1 Inherent bonus to Leadership (just the one), but not an item.

I still wonder what happens when the Leader takes off his Cloak of Charisma +6. Does his Cohort suddenly lose 3 levels, or does the Cohort say, "I can't work for someone that ugly!" and wander off until you put it back on?

Yeah, it definitely is a strong feat. However, this is for my group of three PCs with no spellcaster. I don't want to outright give them Leadership, but I'm willing to give them incentive to take it.

One of the PCs is a de-landed baron with an ancestral bastard sword. I want to put +1 leadership on his weapon of legacy. My hope in this thread is to determine a ballpark market value for +1 (or maybe +2) to leadership score.

Why not just treat it as a +1 bonus to an ability score.

Of course it takes +2 to Charisma to raise your Leadership score by 1. However, +1 to Leadership isn't nearly as useful as +2 to Charisma. If give the +1 to Leadership item the same price as a +1 to Charisma item, the cost would be fair, I think.

There is, of course, no support in any book for what I just said.

Now that I think about it, it seems there's a nice handwave in the rules for just this sort of occasion: Special Power. If the Leader has a reputation for "special power", which is not further defined, then he gets a +2 bonus to his Leadership score.

Ownership of an item that grants "special power" could be priced at +20 kgp, by my estimate, while a way of gaining inherent "special power" (which couldn't be revoked) would cost more like 50 kgp.

Remember the level limit though.

Simply upping the leadership score will not allow a cohort to be less that 2 levels lower than the leader.

I think Nifft is approaching this from the correct perspective, but I think the price is too high. Given that a +4 cloak of charisma is 16k, I would think that the item should be at most that amount as well.
