I for one have problems with creating items taht are way to powerful . These items heve little weaknesses and high power.for example:
Crimson Spine

Intelligence 15
Strength 5 +5 per infestation and duration of infestations
Wisdom 15
Dex 15
cha = the cha of infested
con 10 +2 per infestation and duration of infestations

Discription

The symbotes life begins by jumping through creatures until it gains enough lifeforce to make it's protective shell, thus most symbotes begin in forest and caves.
They mostly only change bodys if host dies , but in early age of symbote they jump bodies for power.
Only alecren size or better can gain the benifit of special shielding,
Symbotes run off pure nessity if symbote food it will try to take over mind to eat, other examples include procrecation, sleep, protection, self preservation, hate, love, sadness.

Symbote without host can only live for hour per level of armor of last host.

While out of host the symbote takes the shape of the last host half the size porportionally

Symbote take host with battle scars for this is the way that they enter the body

The longer they are in the body of the host, they take and begin to like/want the ideals of the host. If next symbote's armor is level 10 or higher and the next host has completely different ideal new host takes -2 to alll ablity scores.

Level Acquiring
The symbiote can gain power as its host gains power, though it does not automatically do so. Any time the host gains experience points, he may choose to donate some or all of this to the symbiote. The symbiote requires 1/10th of the expereince necessary for a given level that a player character would need (i.e. In order to reach level 2, the symbiote needs 100 experience points.).


Host's abiltiy score benefits from the parasite:

The host of the symbote gains the Ablity modifiers of the prevous host when infested. host can gain no negative ablity scores, yet if the previous host has higher ablity scores the new host ablity scores . The new host ablity scores go up to that of the previous host.

Symbote Will

The will of the symbote must be roled against the will of the host at begining of every day (and sometimes during the day to fight the will of symbote) to determine if the host is able to fight the will of the symbote if it becons.
Wis of symbote = symbote wisdom(15)+level of symbote(only time level comes into wisdom)

Discription
the skin armor covers the body of the host with a thin layer of crimson liquid metal that hardens and becomes smooth extremely moble armor

Rule to release internal armor you can only wear no or light armor.!!!!!

Above 20th level Symbote levels with the pluses going up as normal would

can anyone give advise on how to make more rounded items that a dm will accully accept??undefined

Lerning ta spel mite help... Otherwise, just try to start with something a little less complex... Your DM probably doesn't want to read a novel to find out what the item is actually supposed to do and under which conditions.
 

Hmm, that kind of thing is up at the artifact level of power- it would be worn by the greatest heroes and one could imagine it being the subject of a quest to gain that symbiote....

but as Thanee said- take a look at the DMG. The guidelines in there give quite a bit of detail on how to create magic items and how to rate their cost/xp to create. Then look at the wealth per level- quite frankly if it is 30%+ of value for a specific level, it is over powered for that level (In my opinion). So choose a target level and then use a maximum of 30% of that levels wealth as the amount of gold to design the item with - if you can't, then your concept is probably overpowered.
