Reading the quick-start now. I've looked at Scum and Villainy (Forged in the Dark) where has Cowboy Bebop as an influence, this seems to have more of a focus in recreating the feel of the show from what I've seen so far specifically. I have to admit I got pulled in when the names of the Test approaches were music genres. Just a little detail, but one very much on point.

Didn't find the beta compelling nor even easily parsed, so passing.
Besides, I've got Firefly. And Traveller. And Alien. All of which can do the bounty hunter and Space Western tropes... Firefly can even do a lot of the character examination elements, too, which are where (per my Bounty-Head friends) differs from other Space Westerns.
May pick it up in PDF later, if the reviews are good.
