Couple considerations: -Obviously, who else is in the jail. Two options come to mind: First, if the party thinks it's a good idea to break someone out during the coming blizzard (hehe) maybe someone else does, too. Could be that one of the other prisoners has allies coming for them, too. Or maybe the people really behind the healer's alleged crime want to "rescue" the healer and keep the heat where it's at now. Second, maybe there is an "interesting" prisoner in the jail. Ever see that episode of the Twighlight Zone where the devil is being held prisoner in a monestary and talks the man who's ended up trapped by a snow storm into letting him out? Does your campaign have a tricky BBEG, or space for a tricky BBEG? Maybe the "poor man" is being tortured in the next cell over and needs the PCs help to escape as well. After he does.... MMWWAAAHHHHAAAAHHAAAHHHAAA!!!! -Also, who else is in town: Small town, winter weather; is the town near a pass or some other significant trade location? Maybe someone has been stuck in town with some "interesting" cargo. I know Dungeon had an adventure in the mid-90's (years, not issues, because I don't recall the issue number) in which the party (or was it designed for a single character?) was trapped in a small town inn by a blizzard. As it happened, some mercanaries were trapped there as well, including one recently impregnated with a slaad egg... naturally grizzly fun resulted. :D All I'm good for for now...
