Friday the 13th has always been a horrible horror franchise, throwing out any pretentions of viable suspense for flashy effects and gore at best and an utterly cynical view of its audience at worst. I truly abhor films such as this which draw on there own awfulness as a substitute to creating characters that the audience can sympathize with or situations which are logical as oppossed to being simply lazy and absurdist; to create an entire canon around........jeez. It was funny the first time when it had a BROAD audience and reflected an aspect of the true mindset of its time, but now.......</blockquote>
