I don’t care what you did to get here. But you will mine for the rest of your ill-gotten lives. And you when you did die, you still owe us sixteen tons.” A dao with a clockwork arm is glaring at the group. They don’t remember signing up for this. “You have 8 bells today to eat, get breakfast, do your interviews with the four factions, and some free time. Turn left to Fool’s Gold Pub.”</p><p></p><p>During breakfast where they have the choice of clock porridge or eggs and bacon, they make friends with Frank. Frank’s body is about a third clockwork and so is his tongue. Having no taste buds left the food is bland. The factions control different parts of the mining rights or other activities. Death is no way out as you wake up the next morning back in your bunk. The Choronosmith has quick cloning tech or magic. However sometimes there is a glitch and parts of your body turn into clockworks. You can tell interns from lifers or bad luckers by how much is clockwork. Salt does suck as it rusts his tongue.</p><p></p><p>Khatun, “I have returned. Open your briefing handout to hand out A. Who wants the fight the champion for a shot at the rights of blue diamond?”</p><p></p><p>Mugan volunteers the group but is upset when only he is allowed to enter the arena. He flies around occasionally be pushed back by force fart against the ropes. He is winning the fight until the champion retreats and starts using force darts against him. He passes out and gets woken in an hour. The group is given free time to explore the area.</p><p></p><p>Bruce Campbell is the head waiter at the Grille Noire, “You get the first course for 1 gold. After that, Chef Val will make arrangements with you about the other courses. This season we are doing blind dining. You will be given a hood which blocks out all sight. And the dining room is enclosed in a True Darkness spell. Pick you first course. The menu will pop up in eyes when it is time for the second course.” The first course is good but the darkness is freaking the group out. (And making the DM work overtime.) Ember and Ardor go for seconds and their meal has vivid memories from when they were both four-year-old. After they leave Ember figures out the chef was mind flayer.</p><p></p><p>The group finds out the various factions are about to go to war with each other as members are being murdered which is not supposed to be allowed by the wardens. So, the wardens have chosen a side.</p><p></p><p>During the night they all have a similar nightmare of a clockwork breaking them in half. The next morning they do their last two interviews. Taking a lunchbreak they decide to vote on which faction to join when the riot breaks out. Chef Val, Super Chief Bal, and Worm Wal attack the group. And after nearly dying they put them down.</p><p></p><p>Sorry. The muse is not here. The boss fight is in a cube of Jello and with Mugan locking down the boss with hold monster for three round, the paladin smites save the day.</p><p></p><p>DM Notes. I did not like this format and had trouble running. If you were to run it follow the instructions on page 6.
