Message: <blockquote data-quote="MidKnight" data-source="post: 227159" data-attributes="member: 415">Are you installing the new version directly over the old one?  That never worked for me either.Just copy the files for your characters out of the \characters directory and grab any other custom files you have in the system, move all of these files out of the main directory.  Then delete the entire directory contents and extract the new files into the same directory.  Move the characters and custom info files back into place and you should be good to go.There may be an extra step in here that is not required, but this is the method I have found to work on my Win 98 system.Good luck!MidKnight</blockquote>
