As for the jumping rules, they seem simple and effective. I've yet to have anyone try something crazy let alone do much jumping at all - the rogue has tried an Acrobatic Stunt to push off a wall and flip over a goblin but that's as close to a dynamic leap as I've seen in-game.

The high jump rules are a lot more relaxed than in 3e, that's for sure. A running high jump will give you good enough height and distance to jump right over a medium creature, and it's doable at 1st level.
