Well...sort of. I finished the first draft last night and got the file all prepped for my primary editor. She can't get to it until after New Year's because of holiday madness. Still, I'm confident we can get through all the revisions in time for a late-spring release, provided there are no unforeseen delays (the longest of which are usually ME failing to finish the first draft; in this case, I'm only 9 days behind my self-imposed schedule).
Zack Jackson & The Hives of Valtra will be the third novel in the Zack Jackson YA sci-fi series. There will be at least 3 more books in this series, possibly 4, but since I did back-to-back sci-fi (with a science-fantasy short story in between), I may take a break and do straight fantasy next by returning to my World of Calliome setting.
At some point, after the first revisions are complete, I'll need Beta Readers. I've already begun reaching out to cover artists. I haven't decided if I'll put another other illustrations in the interior as I did with Zack Jackson & The Cytherean Academy. I might. I think the interstellar passenger liner has a lot of potential.
