Having just printed out newly purchased PDFs, it occurred to me that I am really getting more of a kick out of the wacky stuff in PDFs than in the books I've bought in the last year or so. For fun, I thought I'd post a poll to see what you guys are liking these days. :)

What "wacky" stuff have you seen in PDFs? I love my PDFs and get to seea lot of them, but I'm not sure I'd call any of them wacky. ;)

I mean wacky in a good way. :) Inspired by the Planes thread, I finally got around to buying the Six Living Planar Gates pdf. There's some wackiness in that.

edit: I also want to say that lately I've been looking forward to buying PDFs more and more. When I hear something like "so-and-so is putting out a PDF on dragons that sounds really cool," it really gets my interest.

I prefer books, but I've bought a few .pdfs. What I'm considering doing for future purchases is that anything rules-related I may go .pdf (since I'm tired of rule-books, but a collector just the same), and anything that's a campaign setting or adventure I'll buy the physical book.

On the other hand, if I wait long enough and the rulebooks can be bought for 50-75% off on e-bay, I will pick up the book that way.

I use them both. If there's a pdf that I get a LOT of milage out of and it's in print, I'll go pick it up. Beyond that, I'm happy printing out the pieces I need and moving along to the game.

Ah, but are you liking what you see in one over the other? I guess that was what I was really trying to say, that the stuff in PDFs have been really inspiring me.

For me I like both but it really depends on the size of the book. I love and get lots of uses out of the mini PDFs that are like 20 opages or smaller. They are usually creative, interesting, and fun. But the ones that 200 or so pages are just easier to use as a book and easier to read and enjoy for me. Also easier on the printer.

Name names. What PDFs have you been so impressed by? And write some reviews on them, if you really like a book you need to stand on the street corners and yell about them especially PDFs.

Thank you! I had a lot of fun writing that one (I think it shows when you read it) and would love to write more material along the same lines.
