Pirates vs Ninjas?

Come on! Remove the clothes: a ninja is but a man, a pirate is still a pirate with his hook and wooden leg. This should be obvious... **rolleyes**

The mask doesn't come off a ninja. It's glued on.

While I am sure it was discussion prior to it, was never promote until EN.World, yep, I do think it got its start right here on these boards (or Eric's site) as part of the 3ed edition discussions and spread out to the rest of the internet like a rock thrown into a pond, rippling and never ending!

I just don't get it, both pirates and ninja are mere mooks. Both seem really badass to the normals and innocents until the story's hero (and his/her typically better fighting companions) mow down a mess of them like grass. Now a pirate captain (or first mate) or a ninja master/sensei, they be the stuff of legend.

Ninjas were beaten into submission back in the 1980's, face it, they no longer have real ultimate power!

By the way, ninjas aren't all that they're cracked up to be. Remember the Inverse Law of Ninja: a ninja's power is inversely proportional to the number of his brethren around. One ninja is dangerous. 10 ninjas are pathetic mooks.
