Another awesome episode. If I read correctly, we've got two regular episodes left, and one 3 parter. An excellent episode that manages to incorporate both the 'Death of Superman' concept and the 'Superman: space barbarian' concepts and roll with it. Some great lines, and again, great use of the the Flash. Batman was great in it ("He doesn't deal with loss well.") His speech to Superman's grave was a winner. Crazy future Savage was a treat. As usual, plenty of in-references for those who know: such as mention of Ray "Silver Age Atom" Palmer and cameos of characters like SCU Captain Maggie Sawyer. I was particularly pleased to see Superman without the moral ambiguities, this time out. They can darken him up a tad, but let's not forget that he's the Man of Steel. You can take away his powers, but he's still a hero. It's also pretty clear that JL takes place in the same direct continuity that Batman and Superman existed in. Teen Titans may or may not exist in that continuity....they've been very careful, I think, not to play it either way (though they imply that it is). I wonder how they're going to end the season. I suspect that 3-parter will end with it with a bang. Wonder if we'll see Hawkman? :) EDIT: Speaking of Ray Palmer, TV Tome has this to say about part II of this episode: " As of 11/03, some reports suggest the Atom will appear in Season 3. " This is nice to hear, mostly because it means that they have a season 3 in the works. :D
