All this talk of ENworld Game Days, and their successes, got me to thinking.

If I were to organize an ENWorld game day in Kansas City, how many people here would be inclined to come?

I'd be there. Kansas City is a short trip from Lawrence. I imagine I could find about a half-dozen other people who'd be interested, as well.

I too have been thinking the same thing (as I also live in Lawrence - Rock Chalk Jayhawk, go KU!) and would be interested in participating (both running and playing). I might even be able to get some of my party to go also (up to 5 more people).

BTW, what the heck does Rock Chalk Jayhawk mean. Can someone explain that to me??

The guys at Tabletop games have tossed around the idea of putting on their own convention (mostly because Shauncon/Thundercon suck). Perhaps this would be a good opportunity to set something up with them and see how this could fly. If there were less than say, 30 people, we could actually use their facilities, since they have a fair-sized room with tables, and they do Warhammer tournaments occasionally. 31st Century Sporting Goods (in Olathe) also is supposed to have decent facilities as well.

Is the owner of the store on the Enworld boards? He always seemed like a nice guy (I moved much further south and am not able to get up to Tabletop much anymore )
