[QUOTE="Wyvernhand, post: 5917749, member: 97681"] Pixies, regardless of class, fall into the same category as most Monk builds. Sure, you can be decently good at not dying, but you lack the ability to contribute meaningfully in combat. You can't deal much in the way of damage, you can't buff, you can't control. Heck, past the lowest of levels (5th to 8th including LA) its dangerous for you to even scout. Invisibility isn't absolute. Its only a DC 20 spot check to notice the presence of an invisible creature within about 30' to go raise an alarm. See Invisible is a low level spell, as is Glitterdust. Blindsense, Blindsight, Lifesense, and innate True Sight become more and more and more common as you level up. You don't have very many class abilities to escape or survive. If you get caught by something like a Dread Wraith, demon/devil, caster, or a host of other things, you are probably dead. Also, being able to snipe invisible from 180' away doesn't work in most cases. Low ceilings, cover from trees or landscape, buildings, etc will force you to get closer. Or you could be in a situation where your party has engaged the enemy and you don't have the luxury to plink away at foes for 3d6 from a situation where they can't attack you back. And if you can solve the encounter on your own simply by flying overhead and raining destruction on your foes, that's not very fun to the rest of your party while you dispatch foes in your own unique way.
