KateModern - is IPTV the future of smallscreen entertainment?

Is anyone else watching KateModern - the Bebo soap opera?

Basically its a totally fictional drama presented via video blogs, Bebo messages and a couple of interactive encounters.
I'm enjoying its mix of soap opera, the dark dealings of a secret cult, and interactive messaging elements that allows direct feedback between characters and viewers and it should appeal to a lot of gamers:)

I even like the (sometimes blatant) use of product placement to pay for it all.

SO does the emminent success of KateModern spell doom for normal TV? Is Internet Protocol TV the future of smallscreen entertainment?

Yes, IPTV is almost certainly the wave of the future, but not quite the way you mean it. ;)

IPTV in it's broadest sense (and the one which people in the TV industry mean) is not limited to TV-over-Internet. It's any bidirectional switched digital system which resembles a network (Real Soon Now cable companies will actually begin delivering SDV [Switched Digital Video] over the coax already running into your house, which is a variety of IPTV).
