For the past few days, we've had the honour of hosting Keith Baker on the first (I think) European stop of his world tour. I believe I can report a success, and I think Keith is going to have a great time, along with the many gamers who will be hosting him over the coming months.
It turns out three days isn't much time when you're trying to pack in as much gaming as possible into a celebrity gamer's brief visit. We played an Eberron adventure on night 1 and Over the Edge on night 3. (We were all pretty knackered on night 2 following a day of sightseeing, so we hung out and briefly played a board game Keith is working on.)
Keith didn't skimp on his "will run games for lodging" proposition; he was fully prepped for his adventures with character sheets, battlemats, minis, etc. all on hand. The adventures were fun and imaginative. I won't spoil anything for gamers further down his itinerary, but I hope I played the goblin Lord Spazz to his full potential.
I put Keith on the train to Glasgow (via Gatwick) this morning. Look out Scotland, here he comes!
