Excellent call going with POD. Was it a lot of trouble to set up or pricy? I'm curious why more publishers haven't done the same.

I've heard a lot of good things about Salt & Sea Dogs.

I didn't set it up directly myself, but I learned it's a little troublesome simply because it's not set up for professionals to use. It doesn't allow CMYK color, bleed areas, etc. Just WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). If you're used to professional publishing, you have to take some time to "dumb down" the files you send them.

The profit margins aren't that great, but if you want to make a book available without worrying about warehousing, or needing a $ amount of sales to publish a certain quantity, it's not a bad way to go. Works well for us to put old material and PDF products into print for those who want them.

We're also working on setting up a special site so our direct retail stores can order from our LULU site, if they want to stock any of these.

And yes, Salt & Sea Dogs is great... And also available as a PDF.

The next adventure should come in from the printer in a couple months, I believe.
