Well, I remembered I had Mind Whip (though any "stunning" psionic attack mode would work) and I had first initiative. Made the check and boom, one stunned zhent. By my go next round he was dead and we had a load of fireballs and lightning bolts. Of course, this only worked because no one was surprised, but still,  just the chance of it is well worth having a psion or psy-war.Oh yeah, our DM deswelled our magic-ballooned heads by making it so we would blow the magic quick. You'd be amazed how many orcs can be packed into a cave. Our sorcerer and rogue went through over a hundred just to burn off the magic, of course, it was better than taking on all the orcs in melee.</blockquote>
