Kickstarter: Fearful Ends horror RPG from Paul of Wandering DMs

This just launched on Kickstarter yesterday.

Paul has been working on this for a while, gradually evolving his preferred rules for running horror games for friends and at conventions over the years from Call of Cthulu to a modified cut-down version of Savage Worlds with his own bespoke Insanity Cards for representing mental stress and instability as you see in horror media and scenarios.

He's now worked it into his own system, including revised Mental Stress cards he got feedback on from a sensitivity consultant to help avoid playing into stigma or trivializing mental illness, while still (IMO) improving on what games like CoC have traditionally done with Sanity mechanics.

Here's a short video explaining how the mental stress cards work, how they represent a character's gradual loss of control, what kind of roleplaying guidance they give, and the kinds of choices the player makes re: making the character's descent faster or slower.
