Caelestis Designs has just launched its next Kickstarter, taking players back to the world of Edara: A Steampunk Renaissance!
In the reviews that have been released about Edara: A Steampunk Renaissance since its launch at Gen Con 2014, the most heralded aspect of the game was the setting. Edara takes a unique look at fantasy and fast forwards the timeline of fantasy to the birth of the steampunk age. It doesn't simply throw fantasy races into a steampunk world. Edara has evolved over time to show the effect that this new technology has on the classic Tolkien-esque fantasy races we are all familiar with.
Some races uses this new technology to aggressively expand their territories. Others cling to old, forgotten traditions while watching the world they know crumble around them, replaced by a technological world that grows smaller every day through rapidly expanding steam engine tracks and airships that are beginning to dot the skies.
The Traveler's Guide to Edara brings this setting to any system you love. While it is designed to be played with the Edara: A Steampunk Renaissance core rules (and does offer a few more options to create more diverse characters), the majority of the content focuses on the setting and on building fun and epic campaigns, putting characters smack dab in the center of this ever-changing world!
The Kickstarter has had success so far, and is already almost 50% funded in its first week.
