Lots of things to love about kids that make it even better for the holidays!!! I have a 3 yr old and it's great. You begin to see elements of yours and the other parents personality in them as well as the things that seperate them from yours as well. They make the simple things you've taken for granted interesting. They ask questions you once thought were the easiest thing in the world to answer but now seem difficult to describe to someone so impressionable. You find energy you thought you had lost and interest in things you glossed over before. Making time for them over all else is essential and makes it easier to tone down or put on the backburner the things you thought were important before.


FWIW-It's not for everyone and I recommend that some not do it cause they simply feel the urge to have kids. It should require a license from what I've seen of some parents. People with problems can have disastrous effects on their children if they aren't ready or qualified.

Can't afford them. They're too expensive for my income. Even with gov't assistance...
