This is probably the most gruesome film I have ever seen.

Not to say the flick is bad, just overly violent in depiction, as almost every character is pretty cruel when dealing with foes. I suppose most of it has to do with Quentin's films, as all of his past work has been the same in this manner, but the plot is bold and simple with back stories to nearly everyone on screen of significance. That's not giving anything away, right?

What kinda bothered me is the detachment from reality that the film had, and yet tried to maintain a more-than-real amount of blood, guts and gore. Granted it's entertainment, but most of the people were there to use and abuse Uma's character somehow, and the hospital worker scene seemed to foreshadow and sum up the two movies nicely. I guess we will see in the next one.
I don't really understand the obsession with Uma as she really isn't that great an action star, but I do wonder if she really killed or maimed 87 of the 'Guard of 88'.
And I think the little girl will somehow be the demise of Uma's character at the end of the second flick. Or at least my telephone psychic told me so.
