Hi there!

I've just begun to DM a group of beginners in KoK. When we started the calendar was no issue, but now it is
In Appendix I in the Campain Setting I've found the calendar with month and days. No problem there. But the calendar is said to start at the first day of spring. When is that? Is that on the spring equinox? If not, when is the spring (and fall) equinox?

I know what the equinox is, my question was if it is considered the first day of spring. As the equinox is the 12h day/12h night is should be the middle of spring as I see it...

What I ment to say with my message is that the first day of spring is the Spring Equinox. At that point in time, the days have been growing in length gradually since the Winter Solstice to reache the point where day and night are of same length. Past that first day of spring, the days are continuing to grow in length and occupy a greater portion of the day than night. This will reach the point where at the Summer Solstice (http://solar.physics.montana.edu/YPOP/Classroom/Lessons/Sundials/summer.html), the official start of the summer, the day will be the longest one in the year.

If I remember right (ha!), it's in late Mustering, around the 20th or 21st, which I think is the time of the vernal equinox.
