It states that a knight protector can transfer up to a certain amount of AC to an ally within 5 feet who has fewer HD than he does. But it doesn't say what type of bonus, if any.
Is this an unnamed bonus? Can the KP choose what type of bonus to give away (e.g., could he give up a bonus that he has that stacks with something else, thereby keeping the other/lesser bonus)?
The easiest resolution is to just call it an unnamed bonus, but is there precedent for that? IIRC, Combat Expertise (which is probably the most similar ability) provides a dodge bonus.
