Yeesh, I've created enough bizarre furry species for a comic of their own. O_o Half-Human from AEG Monsters, Desert from Dragon 306 Scarchok (Dire Ape + Half Human + Desert) Medium Monstrous Humanoid Hit Dice: 5d8+5 (29) Initiative: +1 (Dex) Speed: 30 Ft, Climb 5 Ft. AC: 13 (+1 Dex, +2 Natural) Attacks: Longsword +5 melee, Bite +0 Melee; or 2 claws +5 melee, Bite +0 melee Damage: Longsword 1d6+3; Claw 1d4+3, Bite 1d4+1 Face/Reach: 5 Ft. By 5ft/5ft Special Attacks: Rend 2d4+5 Special Qualities: Scent Saves: Fort: +5, Ref: +5, Will: +4 Abilities: Str:16, Dex:12, Con:12, Int:10, Wis:11, Cha:10 Skills: Bluff +5, Climb +11, Diplomacy +5, Hide +6, Intuit Direction +2, Knowledge (Planes) +10, Knowledge (Space) +8, Move Silently +9, Listen +8, Spot +8, Wilderness Lore +2 Feats: Skill Focus (Knowledge (Planes)) Climate/Terrain: Warm Forests and Mountains Organization: Solitary or Colony (2-12) Challenge Rating: 1 Treasure: None Alignment: Always Neutral Advancement: By Class (Ranger) The Scarchok are a race of desert dwelling ape men from a dying world. They were among the first species to create Planar Drives, magical devices that allow a ship to travel between planes. They have used this to devestating effect, taking over numerous worlds. This ended when the Scarchok met the Loktar, a race of extremely intelligent, evolved ogres. The Loktar took the planar drives, took the top sorcerers and mages among the Scarchok, and have since managed to conquer a vast portion of the multiverse. Now the Scarchok live only for vengeance, they plot the downfall of the Loktar empire, and are gathering other races to them. They have made a tentative alliance with the Kil’terak, who despise the Loktar. Combat The Scarchok tend to avoid combat, while formidable they are nothing against a Loktar or other stronger species. Rend (Ex): If a Scarchok hits with both claw attacks, it latches onto the opponent’s body and tears the flesh. This attack automatically deals an additional 2d4+5 points of damage. Save adjustment: +1 racial saving throw bonus against fire effects and –1 against cold effects. Magical or mundane. Spell-Like abilities (Su): Create Water 1/day as a 5th level Sorcerer. Skills: A Scarchok gains a +2 racial bonus Wilderness lore and Intuit Direction checks.
