Before the end of the Divinity War he was a Lesser God with more power. That is, until the tabaxi God, Tu, knocked him from the sky, which caused Hansa to slam into the ground so hard it left a huge crater near the northern desert called The Cold Barrens. Now, Hansa is trapped under the earth.</p><p></p><p>For years, Hansa tried in vain to escape his earthen tomb. Through the centuries, the barbarians of the Northlands and the dwarves of the Greystone Mountains have come to refer to Hansa as the God of Tremors. This new addition to his portfolio has kept him alive and he has become content to wait until he gains back his strength. He does tend to shift around under the earth causing earthquake and tremors, which can now be felt as far away as the Kingdom of the Silver Leaves and the city of Ciros in the Kingdom of Thallin.</p><p></p><p>Unfortunately the centuries of isolation have warped his mind a little and he has shifted to Chaotic Neutral in alignment. Cronn worries that he may still die or go completely mad. Several times over the years, one of the North Gods tries, in vain, to free him. Something more powerful than any of the Gods keeps him there.</p><p></p><p>Because of the nature of his entombment, Hansa is only able to manifest by causing small, controlled quakes or by causing the shouting of many soldiers to be heard to the listener. His has no real Godly Realm.</p><p></p><p><strong>Note:</strong> Since his entombment, several castles and temples in his honor have been built on the edge of the crater where he still remains trapped. These structures rarely survive the quakes caused by his rumblings, yet his worshippers refuse to give up on him. Hela used to be a lesser God, like her twin brother Hansa but ever since Thera, the Goddess of Violence, separated Hela’s godsoul from her divine from and bound her to the waters of the Sword Gulf, the Peace Goddess has been reduced to a Demigod.</p><p></p><p>Hela’s consciousness and morality remains intact, if not her original alignment (neutral good). She has given up the idea of escaping her watery tomb and has come to love the denizens of the Gulf. Her aquatic priests and cultist bring the concept of peace and the healing arts to both the merfolk and shoal elves. Her land born priests have adapted to a sailing way of life in order to be closer to her essence. They try to bring her love for peace to rough living sailors, which has been hard but not impossible. Even a few pirate captains have been swayed by her priests’ influence.</p><p></p><p>Hela is able to manifest herself to her followers as a wispy, watery woman walking along the shore of the Sword Gulf or on the rolling sea as a dove, flying close over the waves. She is only able to manifest over waters of the Sword Gulf, in this way, and cannot form an Avatar anymore. The watery woman on the shore cannot speak but she can gesture and/or flow with the water to provide clues to her faithful. She has no real Godly Realm.</p></blockquote><p></p>
