Seriously, how can any long-time, old school gamer not look at that cover and weep with joy and nostalgia? (Just for the record, you are *not* "old school" because you started playing video games on a Sony Playstation 1. You are *not* "old school" because you still play D&D 3.0. Now get off my lawn, you damn kids!)

With all the Order of the Stick love on Enworld, I am often puzzled at how seldom KoDT seems to be mentioned. Well, this thread is your chance to assemble, KoDT fans.

I'll start. Ahem. I love KoDT. I'm currently in the process of collecting the complete series of Bundle of Trouble (I presently have Vol. 1-19). This summer, when I'm off work, I'm going to find a nice comfortable spot on my living room couch and, with the air conditioner blasting away and a glass of cold iced tea my side, read 'em all from Vol. 1 to Vol. 23 (I think 23 is the most recent), just like a novel. That's what KoDT is to me, really--like a novel.

My favorite characters are Bob, Brian, and B.A. (though the Bob/Dave team is hard to divide up). Beyond the Knights themselves, I'm a big Stevil fan.

One concern I have is the whole "World of Hack Kraft" story arc. I want the comic to focus on tabletop, dammit--although I have enjoyed the WoH stuff. I just hope it doesn't "take over" the strip, as its real-life counterpart has taken over our hobby, heh heh.

So, step up, KoDT fans. ASSEMBLE!

Although I have quit buying kodt this past year, I am still a fan. I have the first 120 or so issues sitting on my bookshelf.

It's probably the comic I've bought most consistently for the past ten years. Back in the pre-child days, when we were still active in the SCA, I'd save up a few issues for road trips and read them aloud to The Missus (in character, of course) while she drove. Eventually, we stopped driving all over Texas, and we stopped having as much time for such shenanigans, but I still buy and read it religiously.

Though the cast is so big now, I don't think I could come up with enough voices to populate the stories.

I read it off and on.

If they came out with some "essential" or "showcase" versions I'd probably buy it more but it's too expensive for what I use it for. A comic. The gaming stuff is very good but it's not why I'm interested in it.

KODT is the best gaming-related magazine out there. I believed that even when Dragon and Dungeon were still on the market.

Nope. It didn't come close to beating Dungeon. Dungeon had far more adventure scenarios per issue.

I'll agree with you about Dragon. The only thing that even drew me back to Dragon was the series of articles on the demons, devils, etc...

I considered stopping KODT at issue 100, but I'm glad I didn't. I get the new issues (at my FLGS, thank you), read them immediately, and pass them along to a friend who is 'old school' too. And, I have an 'old school' gaming friend from long ago to thank for getting me into KODT. He sent me a bunch of issues once upon a time. That started me on a quest for back issues. With BOTs, I've got them all.

Now, to yearn for the days when Dungeon was still (in print and) so cool that I read it cover-to-cover, too...
