Howdy folks,

Knowledge Arcana's 6th issue, as well as KA's redesigned site, is now up!

http://wizo.wizards.com/ka/

There are articles from A&A to D&D to why the dinosaurs really went extinct.

Want to see the Colossal Red Mini on the gaming table? Turn to page 36.

Enjoy.

Oh, and issue 7 will be a D&D-themed special issue--look for it this fall. And, if you're interested in writing for KA, or submitting your own art for KA, check out the website's submission guidelines.

Have comments, questions, accusations? Please post them, here, on the WotC boards, or email them to me (on the submissions page, there's a submission form, and you can select the D&D area editor as the contact person, and the message you send will get to me).

At first I thought it was the turkey and I was pissed. Dragon looks cool, but I still like Magnificent Ego's Oracle Dragon better.

Several months ago I'd passed along some stuff to the, at the time, fiction editor for KA. They never got back to me on the matter, and I later heard that one of the volunteer editors for various reasons pulled out. I suspect that that's the case, but should I just resubmit the stuff?

Yes, by all means please do. I'm not sure what happened. The D&D minis editor withdrew, and I've taken over his position. The fiction editor that I know signed on after I did, and I've only been there since issue 5 was released--so, it's possible that your stuff got lost in the transition.

You can help us test out the submission link on the website. We haven't had any problems using it internally, so it will be good to have someone else using it.

If you don't hear from anyone, please feel free to email me privately and I'll see if I can help.

The WotC boards are currently working, so I've created a thread that I hope lasts through whatever glitch might come up next. If you have comments on KA6 that you'd like to post to the staff (good, bad, or otherwise), there is a central place for them.

Haven't you heard? EN World is a better board. ;)

Ah well, they're all different. The thing is, KA is designed to be by and for community members, and those community members are defined by their participation in the WotC boards.

 I would've thought the community was gamers in general. After all, there are WotC fans outside of the boards that read that stuff, though we might just not like the WotC boards. Like you said, they're different.

Your reaction was my immediate reaction too. But, since the magazine is official WotC, I can see why they have their definition as it is. We certainly want all players to read it. And, we want to reach out to everyone who wants to submit. But, if they're going to submit, we also want them to subscribe to the Wizards boards. There are many folks who are involved with lots of different boards, and one of the reasons I make announcements of new issues here on ENWorld is because I know how huge ENWorld is for the gaming community. I also post KA announcements on other gamer boards. I, for one, feel that the gaming community extends way beyond the borders of the WotC boards.

Incidentally, I've noticed that the new website doesn't have links to the old issues. I don't know when that issue will get resolved. For now, here they are:
