Knowledge Arcana, the community online magazine, will be signing with GygaxGamers.com who will publish their magazine. The contract to be signed will allow Authors to retain Copyright and ownership over their material, and is a license to publish contributed material. Within the agreement, contributors will receive Royalty payments for their contributions when the material is published and then sold.

The Knowledge Arcana LLP agreement, which stated a similar agreement; excluding royalties, will eventually be replaced by the publishers contract and all contributers and future contributers will be asked to sign the agreement with the publisher, GygaxGamers.com

Knowledge Arcana is expanding, and all freelancers are welcome to join! You can join the group at http://www.gygaxgamers.com.

Is Knowledge Arcana still tied to WOTC and able to use their product idenity or is "Code Name: Phonenix" the only part to retain ties?

BTW Does Gygax Gamers have anything to do with Gygax? I knew the late Gary, rest in peace, was working with Troll Lord Games. Did he work with Gygax Gamers?

Going to have a website for KA again soon?

Because of an arguement over artists credit, me purchasing the Trademark to protect the artists from having their artwork 'permanently righted' to the previous KA team; which lead to my banishment of the forums, and now a pending lawsuit for the lies the previous KA team has spread about me over various forums - I don't work with the new CN:P team on any current tasks. "Code Name: Phoenix" is the remainder of those members, some of whom are WotC employees / volunteers, who accepted their statements against me. I do not know what agreements the CN:P team has with WotC. Knowledge Arcana is no longer a part of WotC and is currently seeking two lawsuit against WotC for their liablity in the defaming of my character, one of them is a criminal charge.

I have an unnofficial answer to your second question. I do not know all of the details of the relationship with the editor of GygaxGamers.com and his contractor. What I do recall being told is the contracter is a member of the Lejendary Adventures web pages.

The web site for Knowledge Arcana hasn't changed, and in fact Issue 11 is out right now. Issue 11 was released on the 21st. Issue 12 is already started and it looks like we are going to double the size from Issue 11 to Issue 12. Another bit of news concerning Knowledge Arcana; something I told the staff is Knowledge Arcana will be starting over in the future. All of the archived issues will remain free issues for download, but they will be dubbed "Alpha" or "Zero" issues. When plans for publishing KA are finished and we are heading towards print Knowledge Arcana will start over from #1.

Charke, I thought you where a CN:P member.

I am a member of CN:P. I joined at the tail end of the split and kind of thought I'd wander over and look at what was happening with the other half. I don't want to be part of the fighting but if you're serriously going to litigation I can see where communication would be walking on eggshells. Never the less, good luck with the magazine.

Thanks for the vode of confidence, Charke. The contract is up on the gygaxgamers wep page now. I don't want to pull anyone away from anything they are doing, and you are not being prevented from working with whomever you are working with now, but I would like to say that if you are interested in developing with us there is an attorney written contract available for people who want to get involved.

Or you could just come over and play games with us!

I have officially re-invited the old staff to become members of gygaxgamers.com and work on the magazine again. This is the contract I was fighting for, and I never intended for the division to take place.

The invitation was sent to their Chief Editor.

Please don't bring old personal/business disagreements to the court of public opinion.

Guys, we've asked you before not to bring your dispute here. Feel free to talk about your magazines or what-have-you, but if you have any arguments with each other, take them up elsewhere please.

No offense, but http://www.gygaxgamers.com/ links to some VERY dubious sites (800 million 'free' games, movies and MP3s). That doesn't make the site look very legimate...

Cergorach:

Web site development isn't in my scope of responsibilities. You might want to look at who is supporting the site before you attack the legitimacy of the site. Heidi and Michal Gygax are members of the web site, as well as the Lejendary Adventures project manager for Troll Lord Games.

The web site is only 3 weeks old and is still under construction.
