This setting is much darker than FR. I am enjoying reading about it, and I am astonished by how big it is. Very different tone than WotC.

Well if you're reading the Midgard Worldbook, the darkness has been lessened a bit from the earlier Midgard Campaign Setting book. There's lots of points of light in the setting though, with Zobeck at the center probably being the brightest. If the darker elements aren't distasteful to you, I recommend KP's Demon Cults & Secret Societies book; just to see how dark it can get.
