Kobold Quarterly is very cool - for those of you who don't know it, I can fully recommend it. A fantastic magazine. A true spiritual successor to Dragon. Oh, and it is cheap.

I haven't worked my way through the new copy yet, but KQ 4 was AMAZING!!!

The 4E designers interview turned out pretty well, and the 3E content is great.

Having an arch-devil named Jezebel makes me pretty happy, and having writers like Nick Logue and James Jacobs means that the little magazine is holding its own.

I'll be curious to hear what folks think of the new one. Oh, and there's a poll over on the KQ site about whether the magazine should stick with 3E or migrate to the new system. Vote here!

This man speaks the truth!

I really enjoyed the Jezebel article. One thing I thought would be played up is how her name almost seems like an adaptation of her father's name, if "Jeze" was a word that meant "daughter of" in some dead tongue - she's the Daughter of Bel: Jeze-Bel.

I'll be curious to hear what folks think of the new one. Oh, and there's a poll over on the KQ site about whether the magazine should stick with 3E or migrate to the new system. Vote here!

I'm glad to see the poll, but I'm not sure it was a good idea to split up 3.5 and Pathfinder into different categories. Pathfinder seems like it's going to be about as different from 3.5 as 3.5 was from 3.0, and there's no 3.0 option listed in the poll. In other words, I think the option should have been "3.5/Pathfinder."

Two questions:

1) Is any of that stuff 4e crunch? I imagine not, given the GSL, but I still want to ask.

2) Is Jezebel a goddess, or what? A little one or two sentences would be useful. :)

The designers talk about the 4e design process and character builds, but it's an interview, not a mechanics article.

There's no GSL available as of this writing, so... no way to print licensed 4e material yet.

2) Is Jezebel a goddess, or what? A little one or two sentences would be useful. :)

She's an Arch-devil called the "Princess of Poison Winters", with her own cult, domain spell list, stats and followers. A bit like a Demonomicon article, but for a powerful devil instead.
