Greetings Fellow EnWorlders! The Kobold Company is putting together the first ever KoboldCon in Dallas, TX!! Our intention is to create a D20 gaming tournament and we're looking for people to help both get the word out and HELP on the committee! Here are a few ideas we've been tossing around. If you're interested or would like more information, please check out http://www.koboldcompany.com !!! This game tournament is going to be a two day NON-RPGA tournament that will consist of at least three areas. 1) Arena - Single Round Elimination - Each round consists of best 2 out of 3 bouts; Set build rules and magic point purchase. Level brackets for "Feather Weight - 1st level", "Light Weight - 3rd", "Middle Weight - 7th" and "Heavy Weight - 10th" Prizes go to 1st and 2nd place in each class. 2) Miniatures - Double Round Elimination - Winner and Loser bracket with single round bouts. Set point builds for army. Prizes for 1st - 3rd place. 3) Role-Playing - This is the one I have the most experience with and hope to be able to produce a 24 hour tournament with 4 5-hour adventures. Set parties rotate each segment to a new GM who continues the adventure with the new group where the old group left off. 28-pt character builds, 4th level start, set cash buy from DMG, primary source books only. Players are judged by DM in each segment and given a score of 1-10 in three catergories (RP, Participation and Resourcefulness) Get in on the ground floor and join the committee forming this event!! Thanks a million for your support!! ~Greegan
