The rules specify that the characters get a number of point to spend in languages and writing.  Do you purchase ranks in these like standard skills?  If so, does that imply that a first level character can only have a max of 4 ranks in a second language?  Thus, does it mean that no beginning character can be bilingual? (4 ranks means that the character doesn't speak the language all that well.)3. How do you handle communication between a native speaker and a non-native speaker that has less ranks in the language?  I suppose you would use some type of opposed role.4. How would you handle dialects?  There are no clear divisions between languages and dialects are often nearly mutuably unintelligible, so a character who knows the orcish language from one orc tribe might have a hard time understanding the dialect of a different tribe.I would appreciate any advice.  Thanks!</blockquote>
